Abstract
Beyond the formal level, educational institution becomes viable by interactions inspired by the recognition and acknowledgement of the other, their mutual care, their listening skills, loving requirements, trust and the quality of being free; in and with them the teachers become subjects and they build the possibility of a different world for children and young people, which does not happen when priority is to apply rules to ignore the new and exclude it. New ways of being a teacher assume ethics as a strengthener power instead of using standards as a mechanism for subordination and control.

Mas allá del plano formal, la institución educativa se hace viable por interacciones inspiradas en el reconocimiento del otro, el cuidado de si, la capacidad de escucha, la exigencia con amor, la confianza, la gratuidad; en y con ellas los docentes se hacen sujetos y van construyendo la posibilidad de un futuro para niños, niñas y jóvenes, lo cual no ocurre cuando la prioridad es aplicar normas para desconocer y excluir aquello que no se acomoda a ellas. Nuevas maneras de ser docente asumen lo ético como poder que potencia; no utilizan la normatividad como dispositivo de subordinación y control.
