Publication: Sistemática y biogeografía de los bagres marinos de la familia arlidae (ostariophysi: siluriformes) del Atlántico y el pacifico

dc.description.abstract | Se llevó a cabo un análisis preliminar de sistemática ftlogenética en algunos bagres marinos americanos. Un total de 19 especies fueron examinadas: 16 de ingroup (Ariidae) y tres de outgroup (Auchenipteridae, Doradidae y Pimelodidae). 49 caracteres morfológicos, principalmente osteológicosfueron sometidos al análisis de parsimonia mediante PAUP 4*. Las relaciones filogenéticas entre los diferentes taxa fueron resueltas en un cladograma preliminar obtenido a partir del consenso estricto de ocho topologías igualmente parsimoniosas (longitud del árbol= 62 pasos), con un total de 11 dade. Las especies examinadas de los géneros Ariopsis, Bagre y Cathorops, forman tres grupos monofiléticos. Selenaspis dowii, S. herzbergii y Arius proops conforman un grupo monofilético no resuelto. Las especies de) género Arius forman un grupo polifilético. Arius. sp B, A. kessleri, y Sciadeops troschelii, se encuentran relacionadas, conformando el grupo hermano de las especies de Calhorops. Arius p/atypogon y A. proops se encuentran más relacionadas con los miembros de tos géneros Bagre y Selenaspts, respectivamente. Las especies de los géneros Ariopsis, Bagre y Selenaspis, incluyendo a A. p/atypogon y A. proops, conforman un grupo monofilético. Ga/eíchthys aler (de Sudáfrica) representa la rama más basal de las especies estudiadas de Ariid. | spa |
