    Allylic oxidation of limonene and α-pinene over FePcCl16-SiO2/TBHP under microwave irradiation

    This paper shows the influence of microwave irradiation on the allylic oxidation of limonene and α-pinene with the catalytic system FePcCl16-NH2-SiO2/TBHP. The effect of catalyst amount and TBHP/substrate molar ratio was evaluated with both conventional and microwave heating. Under microwave heating conversion of limonene and α-pinene were higher in comparison with conventional heating. Under microwave irradiation, carvone yield was higher but verbenone yield was lower than using conventional heating.
